Welcome to The Nerve Atom Visual Literture Project, other wise known as the project with the longest name in the history of projects and the one that makes people always ask- What's with the Nerve Atom bit? Let me explain.
The idea of this project started when I was out of work, ill, and really trying my best to keep my head on my shoulders in a healthy way. One of the things helping me fill my days was checking out graphic novels from libraries since I did not have the money to buy anything for my personal collection. I also noticed how some libraries had many, a few, or basically zero graphic novels on their shelves. I wanted to do something to help others see how much of a great link graphic novels and libraries can be. The big basic of this project is we commisson artists to do work which you can order on different merchandise and the money will go towards buying graphic novels, which will be donated to local libraries in the Brevard County area of Melbourne Florida. Run on sentance there got a bit crazy.
But I hope the project becomes much more than that. I want it to become an educational tool for libraries and artists to see how great of an art form visual literture truly is and how it can be beniftional to both parties to work together. The things I will be trying to add in the next couple weeks are artist files, artist guides and suggestions, interviews with artists and librarians, top-ten lists of people's favorite graphic novels, and reviews of books when we start buying them to go to libraries.
If anyone has any questions about this project or views on how we can make things better, including all the little errors that come up with a site being in progress within its beginings, you can comment on this blog or email:

I hope this is just the begining of something special,
